Fair Season, Fall Colors & Complimentary Exterior + Drone Home Photos from Dave & Travis

It’s one of my favorite times of year in Alaska.

Late August is one of those times of year when you can really feel the seasons changing here in South Central Alaska

The Alaska State Fair is back in Palmer, running August 21 through September 7. Between the fair food, rides, exhibits, concerts, giant vegetables, and running into people you know, it’s one of those traditions that feels like the unofficial end of summer.

School is also back in session. The buses are back on the roads, families are settling into their routines again, and high school football is underway.

At the same time, hunting season is on a lot of people’s minds. Gear is getting checked, trips are being planned, and freezers are being cleared out to make room for hopefully a successful season.

And fishing isn’t quite finished yet either. Late-summer silver salmon fishing is still keeping plenty of people on the water before another Alaska fishing season winds down.

Then there are the gardens to finish up, raspberries to pick, jam to make, and all those projects we’re trying to get done before winter.

It’s a busy time but it’s also one of the best times of year to photograph your property.
